Today was Patricks 5th Birthday party. His request was to have one at our house like previous years but then we started to work on his guest list – he is quite the social butterfly! Between gymnastics and his preschool we quickly got to 20 guests and so for the first year ever it was purely his friends rather than the offspring of his parents friends! 20 gave me quite a headache in the planning though. Clearly our house was out, 20 kids + bouncy house + sugar + trampoline + excitement felt like a recipe for disaster so I needed to find a venue that could accomodate that many kids. Thankfully I was recommended to My Gym and they were outstanding. Patrick and his friends all had a ball. You can see from the cake that this years theme was dinosaurs. We had fun designing the cake together and I think he was pleased with the result.
